How it works

Design Supply Chain

Product design spec turns into ethics spec using our technical innovation with a circular business model. Sourcing is directly linked with the ethics spec.

Animal Supply Chain

Data, certifications, origin, timestamps, and more to achieve evidence - based traceability from exact animals. Stored in individual ID´s.

Using the ethical specification outreach to farms happens.

Age, gender, weight of each animal is taken into consideration to match the technical specification with the ethical specification and ensure the correct animal protection. NOTE: All farms Responsible Systems source from are Swedish, KRAV or ECO certified and therefore stand under the world-unique Swedish law linked to grazing outdoors are an animal right.

The animals travels to slaughterhouse, note: no farm we source from kills cattle due to leather, is is a by-product of the meat industry.

The hides come our of the slaughterhouses and are collected by the saltery, to go to the tannery step of the process. Each hide is individually traceable using a unique digital leather-ID, originating from the Cattles unique and traceable ID.

Production Supply Chain

Each part's movements are logged and individually traceable with a Digital ID. Production waste gets added to new designs.

This is where is begins to be interesting. The leathers are ready and will be multiple things following the tech and ethical specification. Each leather has a digital leather id, in it animal protection quality asn leather quality and supply chain is stored

The leathers gets sent directly from the tanneries out to the artisans, factories and makers.

Each movement (different factories and artisans are logged, kept and stored in responsible Systems).

Each product and prototype design receives as unique RSiD (Digital Product Passport) and the artisans in the chosen production chain adds the leather ID information to the RSiD with timestamps.

Consumer/ Retail Chain

Each part of a product is connected to storage, design specs, tech specs, ethics, and more. Each product comes with a unique and traceable Digital ID linking to an education 3D model.

The consumer/retail chain begins when a consumer has placed on order on a company's e-com. The order comes with a RSiD, the consumer gets and estimated time of arrival depending on the storage value, and the client can follow production through login into their account. The order alerts the needed parties to process, source or produce the order.

The artisan receives the order, adds the unique RSiD to the physical product and adds leather-ID and other materials to the RSiD.

Once finished the consumer gets the final product and by activating the RSiD in its account, selected information from the supply chain is presented using and interactive 3D model. The consumer can see the farms and learn about the leather and the farmers.

Second Life

The product and its Digital ID are crafted to be re-sold or re-purposed. Service of a product, change of materials, etc is stored and updated in the Digital ID.

Once the design needs service, for example, a sole needing to be changed, the new leather ID is added with new traceability information to the RSiD. The old leather info is stored as well as when the serive was made and the new leather info.

The design is originally created using the ethical specification to be circular and mindful of being easy to serve.

A product is being re-sold and the information and service stored in the RSiD is updated. The first clients information, name, place of purchase and date is kept in the RSiD. The new consumer info is stored and new services are also stored and kept in the RSiD.
